Jour 1 - THE BEST OF CAGLIARI

Hotel check in and meeting with your Private Guide.
Afternoon, Italian “Aperitivo” welcome, and walking tour of Cagliari.
Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, kissed by the sun every day of the year. Now the tourism is the biggest
business, it has helped to transform the city in modern reality from different points of view. The
medieval city centre is situated between come archaeological areas and the new financial
buildings. You can enjoy the natural green parks, the lagoon regional park and the Poetto beach.
The tour consist in some panoramic stops in beautiful landscape areas and a walking time through
the old districts of Castello and Marina.

Jour 2 - ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA OF NORA, CAPO SPARTIVENTO LIGHTHOUSE AND CHIA BEACHES

Morning, meeting with your Private Guide and departure by van.
The south west of Sardinia is very rich of treasures, from the archaeological sites to the natural
reserves. The ancient Punic and Roman city of Nora hide a fascinating history of the first domination
of the island, with the mosaics and the roman ruins situated in a gorgeous position in the coast. The
wonderful landscape from the Spanish tower of Coltellazzo, worth the price of the ticket. The second
stop of the day introduce you the top of the Italian beaches: the itinerary coast to coast from Pula to
Teulada including some wonderful places to enjoy in this trip, like the stop in the Capo Spartivento
Lighthouse. Last stop is in Pula, famous village for the tourists in the south Sardinia, where will have the
possibility to go shopping and stop in some restaurants and bars.
“Eat al fresco” lunch based on local Km Zero food!

Jour 3 - SULCIS MINES AND GREEN COAST

Morning, meeting with your Private Guide and departure by van.
Today we will take you to discover the Sulcis Iglesiente area and some surrounding beaches on the
Green Coast. Sulcis Iglesiente is a subregion of Sardinia located in the southwest part, highlighted by
its historical mining activity especially in the last century. During this day we will take you to cross this
area and we will enter in the old mine of Porto Flavia, one of the most suggestive places in Sardinia.
During the tour we will visit too the great Beaches of Masua, Cala Domestica and Portixeddu.
Lunch on the beach, front the sea in a typical local restaurant!

Jour 4 - TRANSFER TO ORISTANO

Oristano area was an area of Sardinian kingdom in the middle age, one of the last to surrender in
the battles of the island conquest from the Sea Republics. This area of 30 thousand dwellers is famous
for the Cape San Marco, one of the archaeological areas in Sardinia: the ancient ruins of Tharros tell
about an incredible history. The same is for the Cabras’s Museum and its new discover of giants
statues, discovered in the 1974. Other stops are in the medieval city of Oristano and in the nearby
beaches.

Jour 5 - TRANSFER TO ALGHERO; IS ARUTAS AND BOSA

In the morning we’ll leave for Oristano, located in the central part of the western coast of the island.
Along the way we will visit the ruins of Tharros and the nearby beach Is Arutas.
During the tour stop for lunch in Is Arutas the most enchanting beach in Sardinia, lunch in a typical
restaurant front the sea.
Is Arutas beach is famous for its sand made of a particular grains of colored quartz: green, orange,
sky blue, rose and pearl colored. Consider that it is strictly forbidden to take away even a single grain
of that sand. It preserved as natural local heritage.
Oristano is an ancient city of medieval origin that represents one of the most important realities of
the immense and varied cultural heritage of Sardinia thanks to the beautiful neighboring beaches
and the famous carnival of the Sartiglia, a tournament that dates from 1358 and that takes place
last Sunday of carnival and Tuesday of the carnival. It is a great historical and cultural event that
attracts locals and visitors alike and includes crusades, duels and costumes.
Later we’ll visit the archaeological site of Sinis, one of the areas of Sardinia with the largest number
of archaeological and natural treasures such as the giants of Monti Prama, the archaeological area
of Tharros and the beach of San Giovanni di Sinis. This last one, one of the most spectacular beaches
in Sardinia thanks to its natural beauty, crystal clear waters and the special energy that is next to the
Phoenician ruins of the city of Tharros.

Jour 6 - THE BEST OF ALGHERO; BOMBARDE BEACH, PORTO CONTE AND NEPTUNO’S GROTTO

Morning, meeting with your Private Guide and departure by van.
Stop in Bombarde beach and naturalistic area of Porto Conte, finally a visit of Bue Marino sea grottos.
Lunch Km Zero local food in Alghero.
A nice walking tour of Bastioni in Alghero
Pays català de cerdenya is the slogan of Alghero’s dwellers to notice their affinity with the Catalan
Republic. Located inside the old perimeter walls of the Castle, was in the past a place of Kingdom,
were lived people from areas of Mediterranean sea. Already the Neolithic period was and important
place for the Nuragic civilization: Nuraghe Palmavera and Anghelu Ruju necropolis mean big
importance for this archeological area, and still now Alghero is one of the top tourism destination.
Thanks to the new policy of hospitality, the success of the wine and the olive oil, Alghero is one of the
most important place in Sardinia. It is also famous for the coral coastline and in the old neighborhoods
is full of small coral shops.
A great visit is to the Neptuno’s Grotto, enormous heritage of nature.

Jour 7 - STINTINO AND ASINARA

Morning, meeting with your Private Guide and departure by van.
Unpolluted landscape, crystal waters, white donkeys. This is the Menù of Asinara island, national park
and wonderful place to visit in Sardinia. All day to discover the greatness of this paradise: the
beaches, the natural reserve and the modern history.
Coming back to Alghero we will stop at Pelosa beach, maybe the most famous beach of Sardinia.
Nice lunch based on typical Sardinian street food on the beach.

Jour 8 - SEE YOU SOON ITALY !

Breakfast and departure.
Today the tour concludes and it’s time to say your goodbyes. A private transfer will take you from
your hotel to Alghero airport whenever it’s convenient for you.
In case you have an afternoon or late evening flight you could take in more of Alghero’s sights, do
some last minute shopping or gallery and museum hopping.
Transfers to Cagliari or other airports has to be considered as extra.9249
